Recognizing the need for a visually engaging campaign to draw users to their live streaming feature, Facebook enlisted our expertise, drawn to our track record of crafting dynamic 2D animations and meticulous quality oversight.
The initiative was sparked by the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, a time when engagement on social platforms typically sees a significant increase as users connect with family and friends. Facebook aimed to capitalize on this period by promoting Facebook Live as the go-to platform for sharing holiday experiences. Our studio was chosen for our proficiency in blending traditional cel animation with modern 2D digital techniques, ensuring the ads would resonate with a wide audience through a hand-drawn, natural aesthetic.
Our involvement began in the animation phase, where we were responsible for bringing to life the creative visions laid out by Facebook's preliminary campaign concepts. We employed a combination of traditional cel animation in Photoshop and After Effects, creating fluid, eye-catching visuals that felt both personal and vibrant.
