The HUB Network, a family-focused channel known for its energetic and playful programming, aimed to create a vibrant network ID. The goal was to capture the fun and creativity that defined their brand while making the HUB logo an integral part of the story. The ID needed to blend 3D voxel-based animations with live-action footage, creating a whimsical world where digital and real-life elements seamlessly coexisted.
As the HUB Network sought to refresh their on-air identity, they turned to us for our expertise in creating dynamic, abstract animations. The network ID needed to feel alive, full of energy, and aligned with HUB’s core audience of families and children. We were brought in to make their vision a reality by designing an ID that was as engaging as the programming it introduced.
Our process began with concept development, where we explored how voxel-based animations could interact with live-action footage in a way that felt natural and magical. Once the direction was approved, we moved into production, starting with the design and animation of voxel-based 3D elements in Cinema 4D. These elements were carefully crafted to fit into the live-action scenes, enhancing the environment without overshadowing it.
Using advanced compositing techniques, we integrated the 3D elements into the footage, ensuring they interacted seamlessly with the real-world elements and the main character. The animation culminated in a final reveal of the HUB Network logo, tying the entire piece together.
The final deliverable was a 10-second network ID that combined playful 3D voxel-based animations with immersive live-action footage. The voxel elements brought the environment to life, interacting with the main character and creating a sense of wonder. The animation resolved in a clean and energetic reveal of the HUB Network logo, perfectly encapsulating the brand’s fun and creative identity.
