Nissan, a leader in automotive innovation, wanted to showcase the cutting-edge features of their Altima model in a sleek and modern commercial. The goal was to highlight the vehicle’s advanced technology and performance while creating a futuristic and engaging visual experience. To achieve this, the spot utilized 2D HUD-style graphics layered over footage of the car, giving viewers a glimpse into the innovative systems at work.
As Nissan prepared to launch their latest Altima commercial, they needed a visual element that could effectively convey the vehicle’s technology. The HUD-style graphics were critical to this, providing a futuristic lens through which viewers could connect with the car’s features. With our extensive experience in creating clean, high-quality motion graphics, we were brought on to lead the design and animation of these elements.
The process began with understanding Nissan’s vision for the commercial and the features they wanted to emphasize. Once we identified key moments in the footage, we designed HUD-style graphics that would complement and enhance the visuals. These graphics needed to be sleek, clean, and seamlessly integrated with the live-action shots.
Using After Effects, we developed animations that highlighted elements such as navigation systems, performance metrics, and driver-assist features. Every graphic was carefully tracked to the car’s movements, ensuring a polished and realistic presentation. The challenge was to strike a balance between adding dynamic visuals and maintaining a natural, unobtrusive feel.
The final deliverable was a visually stunning commercial that seamlessly blended live-action footage with 2D HUD-style graphics. The animations brought the Altima’s advanced technology to life, showcasing its innovative features in a way that felt both futuristic and accessible.
