Twitch, the leading live-streaming platform, wanted to engage its diverse and dynamic audience with a series of energetic promotional videos. The mission was to create three distinct spots—a general evergreen promo, a halo promo, and a Fortnite-themed promo—that would showcase Twitch’s unique content and draw more users to the platform. The visuals needed to be high-energy, vibrant, and reflective of the brand’s playful and creative ethos.
With years of collaboration under our belt, Twitch trusted us to bring their vision to life. The need for this campaign arose from a push to re-engage their audience and highlight the variety Twitch offers, from gaming to creative content. With their timeline set, Twitch turned to us to create videos that could stand out in their marketing mix and resonate with their community.
The process began with brainstorming and style exploration. To achieve the wild, energetic vibe Twitch envisioned, we leaned into 2D animation techniques, including collage effects, layered textures, and rapid cuts. Each video was designed to feel unique yet cohesive, combining Twitch’s branding with the themes of the promos.
For the Fortnite spot, we used gameplay footage as a backdrop, adding 2D animated effects and collage-style overlays to reflect the game’s colorful, chaotic energy. The halo promo centered around community highlights, using dynamic transitions and animated text callouts to emphasize Twitch’s wide-ranging appeal. The evergreen promo brought it all together, celebrating the platform as a hub for creativity and connection.
Throughout the process, we worked closely with Twitch’s creative team to refine the animations, ensuring they aligned with the brand’s style and messaging.
The final deliverables were three high-energy videos, each tailored to its specific theme.
